90% Sangiovese / 10% Cabernet

Both the Sangiovese and the Cabernet grapes are fermented separately, both with an extra long fermentation process.

Only just before the wine should the grapes be blended in the barrel. After this, 30% of the wine is placed in small barrels and 70% in large oak barrels, where it rests for at least 9 months. – The wine then matures in the bottles for a few more months.

The wine has an intense bouquet of red berries - with a touch of water line at the end. In the glass, the dark berries are still dominant, while the tannins are nicely integrated. The cask aging means that the vanilla note is there without it being dominant.

A nice wine for barbecues and cheese boards - serve it at 18 degrees.
